Terms of Service & Community Guidelines

Grade My Teacher Effective Date: August 27, 2026 Last Updated: August 27, 2026 These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Grade My Teacher ("Grade My Teacher," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Grade My Teacher application and related services. By accessing or using Grade My Teacher, you agree to these Terms. PURPOSE OF THE SERVICE Grade My Teacher provides a platform through which students and other authorized users may provide structured feedback concerning their classroom experience and teachers' performance. The Services may allow users to provide daily ratings, optional written weekly reviews, and aggregate evaluations. Grade My Teacher is intended to collect constructive feedback concerning classroom experiences. It is not intended to harass, threaten, embarrass, defame, or otherwise harm teachers, students, schools, or other individuals. ELIGIBILITY AND PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT Grade My Teacher may be used by students, parents, teachers, and other authorized users. Where a user is under 13, or another age requiring parental consent under applicable law, the required parental or guardian authorization must be obtained before the child uses features requiring such authorization. Parents and legal guardians may have the ability to manage certain features and exercise applicable rights concerning their child's account and information. USER ACCOUNTS Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account and for all activity conducted through their account. Users must provide accurate information when creating an account and must not impersonate another person. Grade My Teacher may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe the account is being used in violation of these Terms, applicable law, or the safety of other users. GOOGLE SIGN-IN Grade My Teacher may permit users to authenticate using Google Sign-In. Use of Google Sign-In is subject to Google's applicable terms and policies. Users are responsible for maintaining control of the Google account used to access Grade My Teacher. TEACHER RATINGS Teacher ratings must be based on the user's genuine classroom experience. Users may be asked to evaluate matters including: Helpfulness; Attention to students; Fairness; Respectfulness; Clarity of explanations; Willingness to provide additional help; and Other classroom-related characteristics. Users must not manipulate ratings, submit large numbers of false ratings, coordinate fraudulent ratings, or otherwise interfere with the integrity of the rating system. WRITTEN REVIEWS Users may have the opportunity to provide optional written weekly reviews or summaries. Reviews must be truthful, relevant, and reasonably related to the user's classroom experience. Users must not use reviews to publish: Threats; Harassment; Hate speech; Sexual content; Private personal information; Malicious accusations presented as fact; False information intended to harm another person; Content encouraging violence; or Content that violates applicable law. SHARING FEATURES Grade My Teacher may allow authorized users to share ratings or reviews with other users. Users understand that content submitted for sharing may be viewed by persons other than the person who originally submitted it. Child users may be subject to additional restrictions, parental controls, or adult authorization before accessing features that allow the exchange of freeform information or personal information. Google Play's current Families Policy requires apps with children in their target audience and social features to provide appropriate safety reminders and adult controls for applicable social functionality. MY SAFE SPACE My Safe Space is intended to allow a user to communicate a concern privately to a trusted recipient. Users may use the feature to seek help regarding bullying, mistreatment, abuse, or other personal concerns. My Safe Space is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact a trusted adult, 911, or appropriate emergency services. Users must not use My Safe Space to make threats, harass another person, knowingly submit false reports, or misuse the feature. Where necessary to protect users or comply with law, Grade My Teacher may take action concerning information submitted through My Safe Space. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES All users must follow these Community Guidelines. Be Respectful Treat students, teachers, parents, staff, and other users with dignity and respect. Keep Feedback Constructive Focus on classroom behavior and educational experiences rather than attacking someone's character. No Bullying or Harassment Do not threaten, intimidate, stalk, bully, harass, or repeatedly target another person. No Hate Speech Do not attack or demean people based on protected characteristics or encourage hatred or violence against a person or group. No Threats Threats of violence or other serious harm are prohibited. Protect Privacy Do not publish another person's private information, including addresses, phone numbers, passwords, financial information, or other sensitive information. No Sexual Content Sexual content, sexual solicitation, exploitation, or sexually explicit material is prohibited. No False or Manipulated Ratings Do not create fake accounts, submit fraudulent ratings, manipulate votes, or coordinate dishonest reviews. No Doxxing Do not attempt to expose or distribute private identifying information about another person. Keep Content Appropriate for Children Because Grade My Teacher may be used by children, content must remain appropriate for the applicable audience. CONTENT MODERATION We reserve the right, but do not assume an obligation, to review, restrict, remove, or disable access to content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or user safety requirements. We may take action without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect users or the Services. REPORTING CONTENT Users may report content or conduct that they believe violates these Terms or creates a safety concern. Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may result in restrictions on the reporting user's account. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Grade My Teacher if a user: Violates these Terms; Violates the Community Guidelines; Misuses safety features; Attempts to compromise the security of the Services; Engages in fraud or manipulation; Harasses or threatens another person; Uses the Services unlawfully; or Creates a serious safety risk. Termination does not eliminate obligations that by their nature should survive termination. USER CONTENT You retain rights you may have in content you submit. By submitting content to Grade My Teacher, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Services. We do not claim ownership of your original content solely because you submit it. PROHIBITED USES You may not: Use the Services for unlawful purposes; Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account; Circumvent safety or parental controls; Interfere with the operation of the Services; Upload malicious software; Scrape or collect information about users without authorization; Impersonate another person; Manipulate ratings or reviews; Use the Services to harm, threaten, exploit, or harass another person; or Use the Services in violation of applicable law. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY The Grade My Teacher name, branding, application design, software, logos, graphics, text, and other materials provided by Grade My Teacher are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, users may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Grade My Teacher's proprietary materials. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Grade My Teacher may use third-party services, including Google authentication and Base44/Wix infrastructure. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Base44's current terms state that Base44-branded services are operated by Wix.com Ltd. DISCLAIMER The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Grade My Teacher does not guarantee that: The Services will always be available; Ratings or reviews will be completely accurate; User-submitted information will always be accurate; Content will never be removed or lost; or The Services will be free from errors or security vulnerabilities. Teacher ratings and evaluations are user-generated feedback and should not be treated as definitive statements of a teacher's character, professional qualifications, or employment status. NO EMERGENCY SERVICE Grade My Teacher is not a substitute for emergency services, law enforcement, medical care, mental-health professionals, child-protection authorities, or other professional services. Users experiencing an immediate emergency should contact a trusted adult, 911, or appropriate emergency services.
