Grade My Teacher Effective Date: August 27, 2026 Last Updated: August 27, 2026 Grade My Teacher ("Grade My Teacher," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of students, parents, teachers, and other users of our application and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use and protect that information, when information may be shared, and the choices available to users and parents or legal guardians. By using Grade My Teacher, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. 1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Services. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect: Account Information If you create an account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, account credentials, age or age range, and information necessary to establish whether the account belongs to a student, parent, teacher, or other user. Google Sign-In Grade My Teacher may allow users to create or access an account through Google Sign-In. When Google Sign-In is used, Google may provide us with information associated with the Google account and authorized by the user, which may include the user's name, email address, profile information, and other information made available through the applicable Google authentication service. We use this information to authenticate users, create and maintain accounts, and provide the Services. Google processes information in accordance with Google's own privacy policies and terms. Teacher Ratings and Evaluations Grade My Teacher collects responses to structured questions concerning a teacher's classroom performance. Questions may address matters such as: Whether the teacher paid attention to the student; Whether the teacher was helpful; Whether the teacher treated students fairly; Whether the teacher was respectful or kind; Whether the teacher explained material clearly; Whether the teacher gave students sufficient time and assistance; and Other classroom-experience questions presented through the application. Individual daily responses may be combined with other responses to produce weekly, monthly, semester, or other aggregate evaluations. Weekly Reviews Users may have the option to provide a written weekly overview or review. Users must not include unnecessary personal information, confidential information, medical information, contact information, or other sensitive information about themselves, teachers, classmates, or other individuals. Shared Content Certain features may allow users to share ratings, reviews, or other permitted content with other authorized users. Because shared content may be visible to other users, users should carefully consider what they submit. My Safe Space My Safe Space allows a user to send a private message to a trusted recipient, such as a parent, guardian, counselor, teacher, or other trusted adult. Messages may contain information voluntarily provided by the user. My Safe Space is intended to provide a means for a user to communicate a concern or seek help. It is not an emergency service. 2. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY Grade My Teacher may be used by children under 13 and is designed to support participation by students and parents. We recognize the special privacy concerns associated with children's information and intend to comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") where applicable, as well as applicable state, federal, and international privacy requirements. Where parental consent or another form of legally required authorization is required, we will use an appropriate mechanism before collecting or using children's personal information in circumstances requiring such consent. Parents and legal guardians may have rights concerning their child's information, including the right to: Review information collected from their child; Request correction of inaccurate information; Request deletion of their child's personal information; Withdraw consent where applicable; and Request that further collection or use of their child's information cease, subject to applicable law. PARENTAL CONTROLS Where Grade My Teacher provides parental controls, parents or legal guardians may be able to manage or restrict certain features available to a child, including applicable sharing or communication features. HOW WE USE INFORMATION We may use information collected through Grade My Teacher to: Create and maintain user accounts; Authenticate users; Provide teacher-rating and evaluation functionality; Calculate aggregate teacher ratings; Provide weekly or semester summaries; Facilitate permitted sharing; Operate My Safe Space; Respond to support requests; Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, harassment, or violations of our Terms; Protect the safety and security of users; Improve the Services; Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or legal process; and Perform other purposes disclosed at the time information is collected. We do not sell children's personal information. We do not knowingly use children's personal information for behavioral advertising. 5. HOW INFORMATION MAY BE SHARED We may share information only as reasonably necessary to operate the Services or as permitted or required by law. Information may be shared with: Service Providers We may use third-party companies and service providers to provide hosting, authentication, storage, security, analytics, customer support, and other technical services. Our application may be developed, hosted, or supported using Base44 services. Base44 is a Wix-branded platform operated by Wix.com Ltd. Base44's own privacy and data-processing practices are governed by its applicable agreements and policies. Google If a user chooses Google Sign-In, applicable information may be processed by Google in connection with authentication and account services. Legal and Safety Purposes We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to: Comply with applicable law; Respond to lawful legal requests; Protect the rights, property, or safety of Grade My Teacher, its users, or others; Investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or Address situations involving an immediate or serious threat to safety. 6. MY SAFE SPACE AND SAFETY REPORTS My Safe Space is intended to provide users with a private means of communicating concerns to a trusted person. Messages are intended to remain private and are protected using reasonable security measures. However, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security or confidentiality. Users should not use My Safe Space for emergencies. If a person is in immediate danger, they should contact a trusted adult, 911, or appropriate emergency services. If information submitted through the Services indicates possible abuse, neglect, self-harm, exploitation, or another serious safety concern, Grade My Teacher may take reasonable steps necessary to protect the user or others and to comply with applicable law. 7. USER CONTENT Users remain responsible for the content they submit. Users should not submit: Passwords; Financial information; Social Security numbers; Home addresses; Personal telephone numbers; Unnecessary medical information; Private information about another person; or Any other information that is not reasonably necessary for the intended purpose of the feature. We may remove content that violates our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. 8. DATA SECURITY We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmitting or storing information electronically is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security. 9. DATA RETENTION We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or otherwise fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Grade My Teacher may rely upon third-party services to operate portions of the application. Third-party services may have their own privacy policies and terms. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the application, our website, email, or another reasonable method.
